Learning to speak Dutch
One of the greatest joys in living abroad is learning to speak another language. Thanks to excellent teacher, and a companionable class, this has been a pleasure as well as a struggle. Learning to speak all over again, as Annie Dillard says, "word by word, one word at a time."
